Notes for Joseph Terrence Mulkhey/Lugene K. Spalding
According to a newspaper article:
Lugene K. Spaulding, daughter of Mrs. Dorothy Spaulding of Hillsboro and the late Harvey Spalding recently became the bride of Joseph T. Mulkhey, son of Joseph W. Mulkhey of Loudon.
The double ring ceremony was performed by the Rev. Raymond Gage in the United Methodist Church in Hillsboro.
Escorted by her brother, Gary Spalding of Hillsboro, the bride wore a gown of peau de soie with lace and trimmed with pearl buttons down the front. She carried a cascade of white roses and ivy.
Susan Masellis of Hillsboro, matron of honor, wore a pink brocade gown with a matching bow in her hair. Mrs. Masellis made her gown and the bride's. She carried three long-stemmed red roses.
Joseph J. Masellis Jr. of Hillsboro was best man. Ushering the guests were Kevin Spalding of Hillsboro, brother of the bride, and Melvin Mulkhey Jr., of Loudon, cousin of the bridegroom.
Mrs. Mulkhey, a 1971 graduate of Hillsboro-Deering High School, is employed by Grand Union-Champagne in Hillsboro.
Mulkhey is a graduate of Merrimack Valley High School in Penacook and the University of New Hampshire. He is employed by Grand Union-Champagne in Concord.
After a wedding trip to Bar Barbor, Maine and Boston, Mass., the couple will live in Hillsboro.
